Wounds That Heal?

Its eye-opening to look at old pictures; seeing the changes over the years…
I think I’m gonna be in my twenties forever, its my mindset. Its sorta unbelievable that one day I could be celebrating my sixtieth…or that my parents will be…
I was looking back through pictures of Cameron and I over the years, seeing how much we’ve grown into our shoes and what has gotten better or worse.

My life is sorta all about healing and skin these days…so my first thought was how much that has gotten worse….
but it’s so interesting to think that it never crossed my mind I’d struggle with this so intensely…
But then again–I don’t really know what ailments I’ll be dealing with in ten years…

My research has been exhausting; I hunt and hunt and hunt to find answers to help these wounds that are like foxes for the nest of marriage. Today, I found that homemade yogurt’s active cultures are what you need to help the bacteria in your gut, because apparently that’s linked to the lowered immune system (which 80% of it is in your digestive tract). So, today I made a batch of homemade yogurt-thinking of how much I’m gonna overdose on it. I also got Melrose (a blend oil) and Rose ointment from my YoungLiving account. I’m going to be putting these on my hands twice a day, once before work and once before bed.
I am continuing with my juicing and today I actually only ate almonds (for protein) and juice, tea, and water. I blended fresh apples, carrots and kale together, placed some vitamin d oil in one cup and drank my supplements for the day.
I’m doing everything I can to find a natural cure for my skin, even a reliever of sorts. {I’ve found that peppermint oil helps…inhale it and put it behind your ears…the itching may subside in five minutes or so}

God, enable me the education to help others along the way to their healing as well.

{Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about Him spread all over Syria and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and He healed them.}-Matt 4:23 &24

{He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous}-Matt 5:45b

{Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.}-Matt 7:78

{A man with leprosy came and knelt before Him and said, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. Be clean!” Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.}-Matt 8:2b&3

{He said to the paralytic, “Get up, take your mat and go home.” And the man got up and went home.}-Matt 9:6b&7

{She said to herself, “If I only touch His cloak, I will be healed.” Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed from that moment.}-Matt 9:21&22

{When He had gone indoors, the blind men came to Him, and He asked the, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. The n He touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you”‘ and their sight was restored.}-Matt 9:28&29

{A Canaanite woman {not an Israelite} came to Him crying, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession.”…He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” The woman came and knelt before Him. “Lord, help me!” she said. He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.” (referring to the fact she was not an Israelite, but a Canaanite) “Yes, Lord,” she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.} Matt 15:22-28

{Great crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, blind, crippled, mute and many others, and laid them at His feet; and He healed them. The people were amazed…and they praised the God of Israel.} Matt 15:30&31

{As He was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy(Greek word was used for various diseases affecting the skin-not necessarily leprosy) met Him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master have pity on us!” When He saw them, He said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back,d praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked Him–and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”}-Matt 17:12-19

Just as I opened my Bible to write this blog, I began weeping. I put myself in the place of each of these people; imagining I was one able to touch Him.
This is a very emotional journey for me. My eczema has inhibited me in many ways, most of which effect other people negatively.
I have fought this since January/February of 2013 and it has changed me. I leaned towards natural oils, then went to a steroid cream, then Vaseline, all the while still praying for healing. I am back (although never left, just lessened use) to my YoungLiving oils. I am doing a soak for a week–today is day number four. I put a few tablespoons of bentonite clay (ordered from amazon) in my water with a few drops of lavender, lemongrass, and sometimes peppermint.
The clay is a volcanic material that has a charge like that of a magnet; it draws toxins out.
I’m continuing my journey of healing, knowing all the while that my Creator has the power to cleanse me. What His purpose is for my eczema, I know not, but even so, it is well with my soul.

Picasso and Pancakes

DSCN7844 An autumn date, last Saturday, with Mi Amor. We started off with Wolfgang’s for brunch—Tirmisu Pancakes were eaten after we indulged in an fabulous mexican-style omelet.
DSCN7845 As you can see, it was delicious.

Rye bread on the side, which we did eat all of—no boxes for us!! We headed off to Naked Plates for a pottery afternoon. We painted contemporary-style mugs with Picasso inspired art work, in honor of his birthday!

The food held us over until we went to grandma and grandpa’s for munchies and cider. I met a bunch of grandma’s side of the family (relatives who hadn’t seen Cameron since he was a little lad) I was glad to meet them as a part of their family.

So very much has happened since I last blogged, since we’ve been so incredibly filled with work and school. I have treasured my time away from the computer very much, I must say. heeehee!

Hopefully this will get me back into the blogging mode! After all, it is autumn!
