Fruit

“But the fruit of the Spirit is
LOVE
JOY
PEACE
PATIENCE
KINDNESS
GOODNESS
FAITHFULNESS
GENTLENESS
and
SELF-CONTROL

Against such things there is no law.”

I’m gonna attempt to do some blog posts concerning each of these individually after Thanksgiving.

SO STAY TUNED!!!

In the meantime, I would enjoy your opinions on what ‘love’ is and how to put it in to practice within relationships; family, friends, and dating.

  1. sarah,

The Bible says that God is love. His example, Christ’s example is where we see true, deep love. It is sacrificial, constantly thinking about the loved one rather than yourself. That kind of love is what should prevade every relationship we have. It will look different in friendships, family, and romantic relationships, but that basic concept of sacrifice and desiring to please the other will be behind all of it. Christ showed love when He washed His disciples’ feet, when He feed the five thousand, when He dined with sinners to tell them of HImself, and most of all, when He stretched His arms out on the cross. As much as we are imitating His example with those in our loves, we are showing love.

Hope this helps! Excited to read your upcoming posts! Have a great thanksgivinig!
