Behind the Embrace

I went to a pro-life conference last week and while there, I received this bit of information that intrigued me.

Oxytocin is a hormone that is also called the ‘feel good’ hormone. It’s released while giving a hug around the time span of twenty-seconds.

A research taken in America, found out a twenty-second hug a day is the difference between how happy and relaxed we are. Which explains why people in healthy relationships are happier and feel less stressed.

A hug is an international ‘language’, just like a smile. It’s an act that helps us feel loved and happy. It’s universal and totally medicinal.

Hugging can result in helping the immune system, diminishing depression, reducing stress, and inducing sleep. It is invigorating, rejuvenating, and has no unpleasant side-effects. Healthy hugging is all natural and 100% wholesome.

It is organic, naturally sweet, and has no pesticides, preservatives, or artificial ingredients.

It has no batteries to wear out, no moving parts, no need for periodic checkups, low energy consumption, and high energy yield.

It is inflation and recession proof, non-fattening, has no monthly payments, or insurance requirements.

It is theft-proof, non-taxable, non-polluting, and……..fully returnable.

I found this extremely awesome.

The next time you see somebody in need of a hug, embrace them; it may just change their entire day…it may even affect their life.
